OPG Antunovic from Pelješac compete for the '' gold ''
According to the expert jury of the Project "Zlata vrijedan" for the best family farm (OPG) in 2014, on Friday, 4 July 2014. 21 family farms were elected which are entering into the second round of elections. Among them is the rural farmstead Antunović
from Kuna on the Peljesac peninsula, which, along with the other four, nominated by the Dubrovnik-Neretva County and Dunea. Peasant household Antunovic, together with OPG Carevina from Močići, peasant household Frano Milina Bire from Lombarda, OPG Katičić from Smokovljani and rural households Mlinica Šapro from Dubravka winner of the gold medal for quality in agritourism, which was last year awarded by Dubrovnik-Neretva County, DUNEA and UNDP in Croatia. By this criteria, specified by Dubrovnik-Neretva County and Dunea, family farms could admmision their entries for the prize '' Zlata vrijedan '' project through the Ministry of Agriculture and Vecernji list.
The selection was done according to strict criteria, with the jury made a check of all nominated by the Agency for payments in agriculture, and the Croatian Agricultural Agency to determine the accuracy of all the data that were in application forms wich were filled out by the County and City of Zagreb. The expert jury received a total of 100 applications, and in August in Vecernji list 21 stories about the family farms which entered the shortlist will be published.The top three will be also selected and one by the choice of readers, and the announcement of the winners and presentation of awards will take place on 12th September 2014.
