Terra Madre Balkans meeting

Kinookus Association in collaboration with Slow Food, domestic and foreign partners, in Dubrovnik is going to organize the third edition of Terra Madre Balkans meetings from June 19th to 22nd. After two editions held in Sofia (Bulgaria), community producers (food communities)
from Eastern Europe will meet in Croatia to celebrate their food traditions and called for action on the preservation of marine and terrestrial biodiversity, rural heritage, traditional skills and knowledge. Over 250 delegates from 11 countries in the region, including farmers, fishermen, growers, producers of cheese, university professors, students, chefs and consumers, will participate in this manifestation.Terra Madre Balkans network was established in order to give voice and visibility to small traditional producers and fishermen .
Plenary and conferences on topics Supporting small farmers Balkans, Traditional products, designations of origin and geographical indications, Defining Terra Madre strategy to safeguard endangered food products, preserveation of the traditional fishing in the Adriatic Sea, as well as a program for young people will be held on the campus of the University, while in park Gradac Friday and Saturday on 20th and 21st June, will be set Countries Market with traditional products from 11 countries.
