Site visit for thematic tourist road Neretva started

Dubrovnik-Neretva County and the Regional Development Agency DUNEA continue activities on setting up a new thematic tourist road, in the Neretva River.Committee for preparation of proposals for road promulgation toured the terrain on 9th and 10th June. It started with

potential users from the City Ploče, and will continue in the whole Neretva. Large number of interested parties apply, who would like to be part of future roads, but members will be able to only those who meet the conditions of the Regulations. Those who are part of the Thematic roads will be included in a joint publication and a comprehensive range of rural areas of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, which includes the promotion.

All participants will receive a brown signs for their facilities, all of which co-financed trough the project WiNe, the IPA cross-border program, for which the DUNEA is main partner. In this way, the tourist off is erenriching and rising to a higher level of rural areas of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, and potential members are all those who have native of this region - from restaurants, cultural to recreational and picnic facilities.

The road to the Neretva will be another thematic tourist roads in the county. In fact, in March this year, the mayor of Dubrovnik-Neretva Nikola Dobroslavić declared the Road 'Pelješac-The Wine Empire', while the Neretva only be selected and the name of the item that will fit into the existing Rural Dubrovnik Neretva logo, specific local characteristics. DUNEA and DNŽ and this activity continues to work on the development of rural areas of the county. In this way the first regional wine festival Dubrovnik FestiWine is already organized together with thematic road Pelješac, and also traditional products were recently presented which are intended to valorize trough tourist offer.
