Successful first Dubrovnik FestiWine
Organized by the Dubrovnik-Neretva County and the Regional Development Agency DUNEA, the first regional wine festival Dubrovnik FestiWine was successfully held and completed. From April 21st to 26th '' wine week in Dubrovnik '' took place, and the last two day there was also a wine exhibition as a central event.
At the opening ceremony Tourism Minister Darko Lorencin RG, County Mayor of Dubrovnik-Neretva Nikola Dobroslavić, mayor of Dubrovnik, Andro Vlahušić and DUNEA manager Melanie Milic held speach. 61 winemaker from the county participated , and there were 80 wines applications for the evaluation. On the final evening at the restaurant Clarice, where an exhibition of wine was held, winners of Dubrovnik FestiWinea were named, winners of Dubrovnik FestiWine Trophy 2014.
Three days earlier, 22nd and 23rd at Lapad the wine evaluationwas held. The jury were 15 locals and foreign judges, enologists, writers, journalists, bloggers, wine retailers, promoters of wine and wine culture, and at the head of the jury was Bojan Kobal who has an official license for wine tasting.
Winner evaluation of wines Dubrovnik FestiWine Trophy 2014 is Plavac Mali 2011, vineyards KOMARNA, Poljopromet Ltd. Diploma for the best wine handed to County Mayor Nikola Dobroslavić. Gold also won the Dubrovački podrumi d.d. from Konavle with Merlotina, Boris Violić OPG from Peljesac, Plavac St. Vid Putniković PZ, thePelješac with Lirico (Plavac Mali) and Crvik Vineyards and Winery Ltd. from Konavle with Pomet Plavac Mali selection
The winners of the event Blind Date were declared - where the viewfinder County wine that best loves Ston oysters, and the jury equal number of points given three wines - all of them winners - Malvasia Metkovic, grk Bire and pošip Intrada Krajančić.
Just before the exhibition at the expert meeting '' wine in tourism '' was held, it was intended to be primarily for caterers who, with free entrance, could listen to lectures by local and foreign experts on this subject. Also, during the exhibition of wine, there were numerous workshops, tastings and lectures.
It's been a very full wine week with numerous interesting guests and events. Winemakers have expressed great satisfaction with the organization, which is the best motivation for Dubrovnik FestiWine 2015! Reserve the last weekend in April for the wine sensation in Dubrovnik!
