Wine Festival - Dubrovnik FestiWine, late April

The first regional wine festival, called Dubrovnik FestiWine will be held from April 24 - April 26 2014. For the future manifestation is planned as well for the last weekend in April, and it will be held in the historical center of the city, in Klarisa.

Many winemakers, whose success will be judged by the international jury, have already confirmed their attendance. Through professional conference, titled Wine tourism, our foreign experts will convey their knowledge and experience in order to ensure successful inclusion of wine in the tourism and catering. There will be also workshops with guided wine tastings. On the final night best winemakers will be award and you can also taste award-winning wines.

During the wine- week it is planned a rich off program with art exhibits, lectures about wine and viticulture, vineyard tours in Dubrovnik, in collaboration with caterers will serve a wide range of wines from Dubrovnik-Neretva Country with accompanying dishes.

And that is exactly what we want to achieve - to promote wine culture and our indigenous wines give rightful place on the wine lists, and add tourism a new dimension. In the future Dubrovnik and Dubrovnik- Neretva County will be recognized as - Tourist wine region. The organizers of this festival are the Dubrovnik- Neretva County and its development agency DUNEA.
